One For the Boys....

How to Pick an Engagement Ring.

Once you have decided to pop the question the next big question is how to choose a ring. This can seem a bit daunting so here's our handy guide on where to start!
If you are confident you know her style you can go ahead and pick one
These are the things you definitely need to know before you go shopping…
·         Her ring size
·         Does she want a diamond (people are becoming increasingly conscious about diamonds being mined in less than satisfactory conditions and their sale funding the arms trade so trends are moving toward other coloured stones such as sapphires or aquamarines. She may prefer a diamond from an ethically secure source. We use diamonds from Canada which as well as being recognised as some of the purest diamonds in the world are competitively priced and entirely conflict free.

·         Then there is style.
Does she prefer

Coloured Stones
Aquamarine & Diamonds

·         What colour metal does she prefer Yellow Gold or Platinum

Once you are armed with the above info you can pick a design prêt-à-porter from our website

If she is the kind of lady who has very specific tastes or likes to be unique (and most of us are!) you might want to choose one of our proposal rings to ask the big question and book her in for a bespoke engagement design experience. You can choose her a diamond in advance and present her with its certification and we can base her design around the stone you have chosen for her. We can also incorporate heirloom stones into a design, so the ring can be infused with family history.
So no excuses! pop in and see us or give one of our engagement advisers a call in Farnham on 01252 724825. We will me more than happy to help...and girls forward this blog on to any boys who you think may need a nudge in the right direction! We are ALWAYS happy to help, advise with no bias and no pushiness  We will even produce a no obligation bespoke design and email it to you so you can see what we can do just for you.
